hello sweetie
December 31, 2009
It’s been forever since I’ve updated my blog because I’m lazy. Sometimes life is just so much more fun outside of this virtual world so I’d rather spend my day walking under the sun then in front of the computer….anyways, there’s this new store “total wine” open by my house, which is a terrible thing for a beer drinking gal like me! They’ve got so many selections of wine and beer I was like a fat kid in a candy store walking down the aisles….I came across this beer and was very curious about what sweet grass would taste like. Dang! exactly like what I imagined it’d be, it was smooth, sweet, grassy (you know sometimes you can taste the grass when people are mowing their lawn outside and you can smell it and taste it in your mouth?), and strong. I was for sure ready for bed after one bottle, me being a light weight might be it tho. Thought I’d post it w/ a xmas touch even tho xmas has already passed…
oh yeah~pinata fun!
November 13, 2009

Having a Mexican roommate is great! Not only does she understand how you feel being a foreigner, but she also teachers you how to do some Mexican things! The first experience with pinata is great, I’ve always wanted one for my birthday since I heard about it. With my friend’s birthday, I finally got to experience the joy of bashing a pinata. The only concern I have about a pinata is….the candies fall on the floor!!!! and the floor fo sho is not so clean…even with the wrapper (not the fully enclosed one, it’s those wrapper twisted by the end), my fear for swine flue kicks in…..

Where the wild BB is :P
October 26, 2009

Being a designer, I see things a bit differently than others, I often say so and so looks like that celebrity and no one sees it but me. And this time I think my BB looks exactly like the monster from Where the Wild Things Are! So for his BD, I decided to make him the monster and myself Max in this painting(not really a painting since it’s done with marker + pencil). What do you think? Doesn’t he look like the wild thing?
Pumpkin Carving Begins
October 13, 2009

Can you tell what I’ve carved? The pumpkin(on the left) matches with my costume that I’ve completed on Saturday
I can’t wait to show my costume off soon! I roasted the pumpkin seeds last night too, didn’t want to let any piece of the pumpkin goes to waste
X’mas is Getting Close

Snow Flake Light Fixture
Went to 1st Friday in downtown Phoenix again, there was Zombie walk this time but missed it by hanging around the Phoenix Art Museum for too long. However, I thought it was completely worth it! Weather has been nice and seeing the snow flake light fixture just make me super excited about the winter!!! X’mas is my favorite holiday and I finally have a cute place that I’m willing to spend some $ to decorate.
Since I didn’t catch the Zombie Walk, I only caught glimpse of some people w/ zombie makeup on, it was kind of weird seeing people passing by you looking like zombies when it’s not Halloween yet. Maybe cuz of the nice weather, this first Friday was super packed, I got to go around once and bought a new pair of very cute ivory rose ear rings. Eventually I couldn’t deal with the crowd and left…
Mama’s Yellow Skirt
September 23, 2009

I’ve been wearing my mom’s clothes since I was 11 and people always thought I was a weird child dressed in old lady’s clothes. I didn’t care since I’ve always liked to stand out in the crowd for what I’m wearing.
Today I wore my mom’s yellow skirt and the top I made (from black short-sleeve shirt + scarf/wrap with an amazing print) last week. Not many people wear yellow and like yellow, but I think this skirt’s yellow is just right and totally brightens up my mood everytime I wear it. I like below-the-knee high-waist skirts a lot, especially when they flare out when you twirl. I always feel like a mom from the 70s when I wear them and I love it!!
Happy Meal :D
September 21, 2009

I like Johnny Rockets even tho it’s just a chain restaurant. I just get into a great mood when I’m there because of the servers’ singing and dancing. And of course the smiley ketchup adds onto that!
the Very Beginning
September 17, 2009

My mom went to school for Fashion Design, so I was basically her small-scale dress form. Having a great influence at young age, I started drawing and sewing really young. Too bad I never put an effort into fashion design growing up so I ended up going into a different route – Industrial Design. But in my opinion, designers in different industries still love the same things – pretty things. So here I am, going to blog about things I desire
Anything that’s pretty.
Hope you like the pic of mini me, my mom had my hair permed…I hated it at that time but I love it now
